Wet weather expected until Wednesday afternoon

Rain is here to stay at least until Wednesday afternoon, according to News10 meteorologist Mellisa Paul. Another weather system will move through the area Tuesday with continued rain showers. Highs will remain about 20 degrees below normal in the lowers 60s.

A second weather system moving in from the Pacific will give the Valley morning showers Wednesday but should clear up through the afternoon with highs near 70 degrees, Paul said.

Thursday and Friday we'll see mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 70s, near normal temperatures for this time of the year.

The 90-degree scorching weather will end after today. On Friday, we can expect cooler temperatures with highs in the low to mid 80s, said News10 meteorologist Mellisa Paul.

The weekend will bring even cooler weather with Saturday expected to reach highs in the upper 70s. Clouds will increase as a low pressure system begins to move south out of the Gulf of Alaska, Paul said.

On Sunday, don't be surprised to see scattered showers with periods of sunshine. Highs will drop to the low 70s and rain will be less than a .10" of an inch in the area.

The beginning of the work week will bring clear skies and highs in the mid 70s.

STOCKTON - The new Stockton Marina sustained some wind damage during this weekend's storm. One of the sections of canopy that covers the docks was ripped apart by the strong winds, sometime late Saturday or early Sunday morning.

One of the cables that connects the canopy also fell onto a boat below, causing some minor damage. The boat has been removed from the marina for repairs, though the damaged canopy is still there.

Fog, cold temps here to stay

Fog, cold temps here to stay

Northwest winds and patchy low clouds overnight lead to Thursday morning's foggy conditions during the commute. But skies cleared and the sun will be shining by afternoon as a high pressure ridge builds in across the state, according to News10 meteorologist Mellisa Paul.

Highs for Thursday will be near 60 and north winds will calm throughout the day leading to a foggy Friday forecast in the valley. But the fog should clear late in the day Friday for an afternoon of sunshine and highs remaining near 60.
