STOCKTON — People wishing to launch a medical career will have an opportunity as the San Joaquin County Office of Education Health Academy has openings for students.
The academy provides hands-on training in the clinical and administrative skills needed to become a medical assistant at its 7,000-square-foot facility.
Areas of instruction include pharmacology/medical administration, EKG and back-office clinical, medical terminology and medical records.
The fee-based program is open to students 18-years and older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
The next classes begin on Nov. 2. An open orientation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the Health Academy, 7711 Murray Dr. in Stockton.
