Restaurant review: Cariba Caribbean Cuisine

Restaurant review: Cariba Caribbean Cuisine

STOCKTON - Today a friend of mine suggested a new place to eat for lunch. As a local resident, I'm always on the lookout for new cuisine options, but I didn't even know this place existed until today! Cariba Carribean Cuisine, located at 4127 West Lane, serves up the most delicious -- and spicy! -- Caribbean dishes for affordable prices.

The menu was quite daunting with so many traditional dishes -- think jerk chicken, braised beef short ribs and conch fritters -- to choose from. After settling on a lunch-sized plate of jerk chicken with sweet potatoes, I was eager to see what the food would taste like. Chef Ian Paige was delightful and even granted my request for a smaller sized portion, which wasn't on the menu.

After a brief wait inside the clean, homey restaurant with Caribbean beats playing in the background, I was pleasantly surprised with my lunch choice.
