4 arrested in Stockton drive-by shooting

STOCKTON, CA - Four people were arrested after a drive-by shooting nearly hit two small children Friday afternoon.

Manuel Villalobos, 19, Juan Villalobos, 19, Alejandro Serrano, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested after they fled from police and led them on a car chase, Stockton police said.

Stockton police said the suspects fired shots at an occupied car on the 1500 block of East 10 th Street around 2 p.m., almost hitting children in the backseat.

The suspects fled from the scene and were spotted by officers nearby. Stockton police said officers pursued the suspect vehicle, but lost sight of the car in the area of Miner and Wilson Way.

Police later relocated the suspect vehicle when it hit two parked cars. The suspects fled from the vehicle but were arrested a short time later.

Stockton police said a K9 helped apprehend one suspect. Another suspect sustained a broken arm during the car crash.

All four suspects were arrested for assault with a firearm and other various weapons charges.
