It is looking like things are finally changing for the better in Stockton for Art and Music fans. This last weekend at The Plea for Peace Center we had close to 500 people come through the doors over the 3 days. That number with events happening at The Blackwater Cafe, Empire Theatre and other locations shows that we are going out and enjoying ourselves and live entertainment is a clear choice.

This week music fans are in for a treat with so many great choices just about every day of the week. For Jazz lovers there is Monday Night Jazz at the Blackwater and every Tuesday and Thursday Take Five featuring the Brubeck Institute at the Valley Brew. There is open Mic on Wednesday at The Blackwater and Poetry Reading, Words for Wednesday(the last Wednesday) at Empresso. You can find Ship of Foolz playing just about every Thursday at Java Aroma on Grand Canal.

Tuesday is a not to be missed event at The Blackwater Cafe not one but two electronic, drone, experimental acts from France Tamagawa and Drone a Clochettes will be performing with Ryan Torentino who will be opening $5 7pm all ages and sure to be something a little out of the norm.
